2022 Call for Nominations: NAfME Senior Researcher Award

Every two years, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) awards the Senior Researcher Award to recognize a researcher for outstanding, significant, and long-standing contributions to music education research. This award is a premier acknowledgement of excellence in research and scholarly contributions to the field.

To nominate an outstanding researcher, please provide the following in one PDF document: (1) the name, address, phone number, email, and affiliation of the nominee; (2) a formal nomination letter (including a statement that the researcher accepted the nomination); (3) the nominee’s curriculum vitae; and (4) three letters of recommendation from persons in a position to comment on the nominee’s research and scholarly contributions and achievements.

All nominations must be submitted electronically with the subject: 2022 Senior Researcher Award Nomination. The 2022 NAfME Senior Researcher Awardee will be honored at the NAfME National Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, November 2-6 2022, where they will give an address that will subsequently be published in the Journal of Research in Music Education.
