With the spring semester wrapping up, the annual 2023 Collegiate Leadership Advocacy Summit is just around the corner! The dates for the NAfME Collegiate Leadership Advocacy Summit will be announced soon.
NAfME Collegiate members and advisors are invited to join us in-person for the Collegiate Leadership Advocacy Summit. The Summit is an opportunity to network and collaborate with fellow music education majors from around the United States. We hope all chapters are represented among the attendees at the Summit.
This year’s Summit focus will be announced soon. A full event schedule and registration portal will be available in the coming weeks. Remember to join or renew your NAfME membership to stay connected with upcoming events and opportunities. Collegiate membership is good through June 30 each year.

Advocacy Matters.
Congress may seem a million miles away, but it isn’t. YOUR passion and engagement helped upend No Child Left Behind to bring about the new Every Student Succeeds Act.
Hill Day 2019 was a massive success. Collegiate delegates from across the nation advocated for music education in more than three hundred congressional meetings, illuminating a promising future for the arts.
- Over 60% of offices said they supported increased federal funding for education;
- Nearly three-fourths of all offices supported Title IV-A funding;
- And nearly two-thirds of offices expressed interest in cosponsoring the GAAME Act with two offices (Rep. Bobby Rush of IL and Rep. G.K. Butterfield of NC) cosponsoring immediately after Hill Day.
