Wyoming

Most of Wyoming is using the Danielson Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching as a guide for evaluations of all staff.

A group of National Board Certified teachers, including music educators, wrote a White Paper that is about to go out to legislators, school boards, and school administrators.  It advocates for a number of changes, including observations made by peers as part of the evaluation system.  The authors felt that this would be beneficial to many teachers because some principals do not feel comfortable observing teachers in disciplines other than their own, and some principals were never classroom teachers (they were social workers, psychologists, etc.).
