Nomination Deadline: Wed Dec 31, 2014

Band directors can nominate their outstanding marching musicians and color guard members through December 31, 2014. All students who are nominated, must be a member of their high school marching band, and on track to graduate in 2016. Students that are nominated for the band will receive correspondence from NAfME with all audition and application instructions.

The US Army All-American Marching Band is a unique, life-changing honor for exemplary high school seniors with a passion for marching band.  Each year, NAfME selects 125 students to participate in this program that is offered to students at NO COST.  The students rehearse for one-week and then perform the half-time show at the US Army All-American Bowl in the Alamodome in San Antonio, January 2016.  This band is comprised of the ‘best-of-the-best’, representing high school marching bands from across the United States.  It is an unforgettable experience for these students to meet and perform with fellow students, and to learn from some of the best marching band instructors in the country.

Please nominate your high school JUNIORS today for the 2016 US Army All-American Marching Band.  Remember, this program is completely free to the student!

 

NAfME, 2015 All-National Honor Ensembles

The NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States.  In October of 2015, the ensembles will perform in Nashville, Tennessee under the baton of leaders in the field of music education. The NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles are represented in the following components: 

•    Concert Band
•    Mixed Choir
•    Symphony Orchestra
•    Jazz Ensemble

Only students which meet the requirements described on the student application page are eligible to apply for the NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles. Please be sure to read the requirements carefully, as they have changed from previous years.
