Thanks, Bridget. The song is actually not for a program of mine but for an anthem at a MLK, Jr. chapel service that is being put together by the Lower School Director at my school (I teach at a private Episcopal School and there are special chapel services planned throughout the year). I’ve already decided to go with “Sing About Martin” because that seems to be the best song for that age group. I don’t have the Share the Music series and didn’t know that there was sign language to go with the song. I’ll check that out! Funny you should mention melodic direction… When I was teaching the song to my classes, I noticed that they were having trouble knowing when the “all around the world” part goes up and when it goes down. That lead to an impromptu discussion about melodic direction. Thanks again for your ideas! Mara
