Hello, I am a music education student at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. I have gone through several Kodaly workshops and worked with many educators trained in Kolday throughout my time in university and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with it. I have used a combination of both the Orff and Kodaly methods in my pre-service teaching with general music and orchestra. If you are interested in Kodaly, I would also highly suggest you look into the Gordon method, as some people find that even more useful or better suited to their pedagogical methods and ideas, particularly when a general music program flows into band programs.
