At our school the related arts teachers are expected to hold their own conferences. All parent teacher conferences are on the same day, so if I want to meet with the academic team and a parent, I can make that choice. We can attend all of the conference. I used a website called Sign Up Genius. I sent out an e-mail to all of my parents with a link to the website. Once on the website, they could sign up for a time to meet with me. I only met with the parents who requested a conference. The rest of the time I worked in my room.
