Check out the Design Professionals page on http://www.wengercorps.com. When you click on it, there’s a pdf called “Planning Guide for Music Facilities.” They have everything on there you will ever need to know about size, space, acoustics, for every type of music classroom. We are in the process of planning renovations for my building and this has been my best friend. I also teach middle school band and my room is way too small for my kids as well, so I feel ya.
