Participants: Guitar students of all levels
Objective: Day of Guitar is an opportunity for guitar students to work with skilled clinicians. Each group will be given the chance to perform and all participants will be a part of a large guitar orchestra.
This workshop will spark students’ enthusiasm for guitar and encourage them to strive to the next level of guitar performance. Instructors will pick-up tips on repertoire, running rehearsals, and playing techniques. Designed for classical, jazz, pop, and acoustic guitarists of all levels, from first year beginners to the technically advanced, Day of Guitar is a great opportunity for students to meet and make music with musicians from other schools. Students will rehearse and perform with the Day of Guitar Orchestra, receive coaching and instruction from many of Chicago’s finest guitar teachers, and be able to perform an ensemble or solo piece in the afternoon concert.
