Valley City State University in Valley City, ND has the only Community School of the Arts (CSA) in the state. It offers a youth choir and individual lessons on many instruments and voice, including the only string lessons available in town. There are numerous scholarships available and the Chamber of Commerce nearly fully supports the choir. Another great opportunity through a grant and CSA is the ability for young pianists to play annually with a professional regional chamber ensemble, performing piano trio repertoire.
