Are there any copyright issues with taking a song (we are the world) and changing the lyrics for use in a school performance?
There will be no admission fees.
there always copyright issues with a host of scenarios. You should contact the company who own the rights to be sure you’re in compliance.
As far as I understand, you’re fine so long as you don’t make and sell a recording, or your own arrangement of the piece.
