Does anyone use the Composers’ Specials in their elementary general music classes? (Handel’s Last Chance, Bach’s Fight for Freedom, Liszt’s Rhapsody, etc.) If so, what grade level do you use each one with? Although they are fictional stories, they can still be a good way to introduce the composer. Just curious what ages you use them with!
I mainly use them as fill in materials. On days when I’m out for sub, days, I’m just not feeling well but still at school, or days with wacky schedules. I would rather be teaching than just setting a watch movie.
