I serve as chair of the NYSSMA Curriculum Committee. As such, I’m interested in beginning work on Curriculum Exemplars for music education. I haven’t really worked on them before, just seen some of the samples from EngageNY, etc. It’s a bit difficult to translate those documents for English and science, into what we need to accomplish for music.
Has anyone seen a template, check list, or any other tools I might consider as we begin this work. Are there any examples of other music documents that might be helpful for us to use as guidance? Any assistance, advice, etc. would be appreciated, as my committee begins this work.
