For anyone who has used David Newell’s “Teaching Rhythm concepts, would you be willing to share lesson plans you’ve used with beginning band students? Thanks for your consideration. email@example.com
I use this book regularly but don’t do “structured lesson plans” with the book itself. I mingle it in with literature and lesson book materials I am doing. Sorry I cannot help you out. Great book!
I have a structure and a plan that I use with my beginning band students based off of David’s Teaching Rhythm. When I get to my school computer I will try to remember to e-mail them to you and PLEASE ask questions if they don’t make sense. I also have a Finale template for the flash cards if you would be interested in them. Be looking for an e-mail from ether Mortimer_Snerd_1@yahoo.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If anybody else is interested in either the flashcard templates or what I do feel free to e-mail me.
