My school is looking to purchase new risers. We only do two or three large programs a year where the risers are necessary. The risers we have now are old and very unsafe for the students. Does anywone have any suggestions for risers that work for elementary school kids?
I have been looking at the flipFORMS by Wenger. Does anybody use those? Are they worth looking into?
FlipForms are great for elementary kids; I’ve used them. They are very functional, however not very deep. I’d estimate that as choral risers they’d work for 3d grade tops. Otherwise I’d be afraid that the kids wouldn’t be able to safely stand on them. One huge concern is the top step, as there is nothing behind it to support the kids. First I would ask the district if the Music department or one particular school has a set which you could borrow. That’s what we do in my school. I’ve looked into buying sets of risers, but they are at least $500.
