Our spring concert will be featuring all songs from musicals. What songs have you had success with in grades 1, 3, (who will also be playing recorder) and 5?
    Thanks!

I have good luck with We Go Together, from Grease, and Do Re Mi from the Sound of Music. You might also consider some of the Disney stuff from the movies that have been made into musicals.

You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown has some cute songs. If you have any good actors, you could do The Glee Club song, which is Home On The Range. Newsies is also a good one for the older kids. Open the Gates and Seize the day is lots of fun!

My students have liked “So Long, Farewell” (arr. Mark Brymer) from The Sound of Music, “Supercalifragilisticexpialicious” (arr. Cristi Cary Miller) from Mary Poppins, and “Over the Rainbow” (arr. Audrey Snyder) from The Wizard of Oz–these are all 2-part arrangements I’ve done with 3rd and/or 4th grade chorus–you could easily adapt them to sing in unison if needed, and any of these would also work well for 5th grade.
