I am new to this forum, and perhaps this problem was addressed in earlier posts… I’ll check. I am at a 2 year old high school; I have a choir of about 50. We need formal wear; the members would rather wear suits/tuxes and long dresses than robes. Any ideas to get them lookin’ good? Robes definitely better than what we have now, which is nothing!

There are formal wear companies you can find on line. Enter choral dresses and suits you will come up with several options and go from there with differing price ranges. Once I found a dress I liked that was flattering on all sizes (black of course) I kept that same dress for years as some students were in the ensemble for more than one year and some could sell their dress to new members the following year. Students would pay for their own dresses and then keep them if they wish. I used a local company for suits and the young men went for fitting and paid the store directly. Again they could sell their suits but most have chosen to keep them and often wore them for dances. I selected a tie with school colors that was used for several years.
