So I was offered a job at the middle school in my current district. I didn’t apply or anything, they called me up. It’s chorus. All my experience has been elementary general. It’s also not an elective. I’m a bit nervous about middle school age level AND switching to chorus. I know I could handle one or the other, but both?
So, I guess I’m asking if there’s anything I should keep in mind with a mandatory 6-8th grade chorus? I’d see a group of kids every day for nine weeks, then switch to a new group, so I’d be reusing plans and music there. Probably a small performance at the end of each quarter with a bigger one at Christmas and the end of the year.
