The International Conducting Seminar at New England Music Camp provides intensive seven-day programs geared towards university and graduate-student conductors, and music educators, directed by world-renowned conductors Leon Gregorian and Raphael Jimenez. Two course levels of study are offered in order to provide a challenging yet comfortable atmosphere for learning the skills associated with the art of conducting.

Level I: Focus on fundamental skills, including baton technique and gesture, through a series of group, private lessons, and master classes. The conducting ensemble will consist of two professional pianists of the highest caliber, with appropriate orchestral literature chosen to demonstrate and solve certain conducting problems both technical and musical.

Level II: Focus on advanced orchestral repertoire and performance practices through a series of group, private lessons, and master classes associated with the art of orchestral conducting. The conducting ensemble will consist of a string quintet and two professional pianists of the highest caliber, with more challenging repertoire.
