I teach K-8 music, and my school is setting up a music boosters club. We need to create bi-laws, and I was wondering if any of you could forward me your bi-laws for your boosters club to look at. Also, any advice? This is new to me so any advice you have is welcome!
    Thanks!

We are in the process of forming one ourselves, as we have a large number of parents. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as well. This year we started with having a meeting to see what all parents were interested.

Music boosters are great when they work and horrible when they dont. The most important aspect in my experience is that you luck out and have the right parents at the right time who will listen. I say listen because making things run correctly involves a lot. They need to know that what you say is the truth. I stress with my boosters I am the rep from the school, I’m not a booster. At least thats how mine is set up. I say that because they need to know if something isn’t right, you have a responsibility to the school first.
