A few of the teachers in my HS want to put together a group for the school’s talent show. I am looking for music (something fun, hot, and easy and most likely rock) Here’s the anticipated lineup:
    1-2 Guitars (electric)
    1 Bass (electric)
    Drumset
    1-2 Trombone
    Alto or Tenor Sax
1 trumpet (I could give up the trombone to do this…eek)
    vocalist (maybe)

Any suggestions? Where can I find do-able arrangements or do the publishers have any series tht work?
We have been kicking around ideas like Stevie Wonder (sir duke), TOP, EWF and Chicago but any ideas are cool. 🙂

Since this is the “Jazz” forum, I’ll send you to one of my favorite sources for Jazz arrangements: http://www.ejazzlines.com/
They have a section where you can shop for combo arrangements of many different sizes and instrumentation. For most of the tunes you can listen to samples to help you decide whether they will work for you. There are a few funk and latin pieces that may appeal to your players and audience. Good luck!
