Do you want to be a publisher and have an online newspaper tailored to your professional, educational, or special interests. You can have it now! Join http://paper.li – it’s truly the easiest item I’ve created on the web and takes seconds to manage. Once you join, you choose articles or areas of interest, according to your needs, format a page, check off a few boxes and it’s finished@ W

When I registered (it’s free, by the way), I quickly checked off boxes and searched areas of interest for my music composition students and each morning at 5 a.m. the paper refreshes with new articles. (you can also decide how often it refreshes and adds new articles). The ONLY downfall is that every once in a while – quite rarely, actually – a ‘questionable’ article shows up (inappropriate content for public high school) – but for 99% of the time, it is excellent. I just make sure I check it every day and delete anything inappropriate. The students can also subscribe to my daily paper and get e mail links each day.

Here is the link to my online paper:

I use it quite often for classwork with my students as they are required to read and write responses and it keeps them on top of the real world in music. Also, because they know it refreshes each morning, they don’t have any choice but to actually do the reading immediately, because otherwise they would have to find the article on their own, which can be challenging at times. The students get SO lost in the paper – it’s fun to watch them read and not want to stop!

What a great idea, Anne. I’m looking forward to using this with my students.
