Members are invited to send in proposals for sessions at the ISME World Conference in Brazil July, 2014 I am especially advocating for development in areas previously less-explored than others, such as popular music. Check out their website: isme.org. Feel free to contact me at swoodward1@ewu.edu if you have questions.

Thank you for posting this. I also wanted to mention that I was able to attend the Community Music Activity Commission at the last ISME conference and it was a wonderful experience. Most of the presenters were discussing alternative approaches to music making, whether in a school setting or another setting. It was very inspiring! Check out their page and call for presenters for this year’s conference: http://www.isme.org/cma.
