Stolen school instruments : (

Over the last 10 days, six instruments (bassoon, two alto saxes, two euphoniums, and a French horn) have disappeared from my band room.
We have no idea who is behind this. We can only speculate that it is an adult with after-hours access (i.e, a key) to the room. First suspects then would be the cleaning crew.
Problem is, they are all very nice people and have been doing this job for years. One of them is married to a school staff member.
Also, this is a small, private school, K-9, in a small rural community. It’s the sort of place where people don’t knock their doors because everyone feels safe.
The one common thread here is that all the instruments are on the larger side. That says to me that it’s not a student because it would be difficult for anyone 9th grade and lower to make off with these instruments easily.
We filed a police report yesterday, and I’ve reported the serial numbers to the local instrument store.
Can anyone give me advice on how to proceed? I would love to install a spy camera in the room.
This is a sad, stressful situation for everyone involved. Thanks for your help.
By the way, the school most certainly does lock its doors at night!
There is a school near mine that had this issue and they found the instruments on local Craigslist. The police called asking to buy them and then recovered all of them. Look on Ebay too.
