I am conducting a research project as a PhD candidate in Music Education through the University of Kansas-Lawrence to better understand the role music education specialists have in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) referral and implementation processes. I am inviting you to take part in a survey as part of my data collection on the experiences music teachers have had with IEPs. The survey should take between 10-15 minutes to complete and is confidential. The survey is open to any practicing or retired music educators.

If you are willing to participate in this survey, you may find it at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/musiciep. The survey will be closed May 1. The results of this survey will be used for research presentations and publication.

Please feel free to forward the information about this survey to any music educator you feel would be interested in participating.

If you have any questions about the survey, you are welcome to contact me at kstafford@ku.edu or the University of Kansas School of Music, care of Dr. Debra Hedden, 1530 Naismith Drive, Lawrence, KS 66045
