I’m wondering how many people out there are teaching a classroom guitar program.

I work on a program called Teaching Guitar Workshops (it’s a Professional Development/re-certification program by NAfME for NAfME members) and there’s no reliable data on how many people teach classroom guitar. So, I’m starting to dig.

Thanks for your post, Robert! Hopefully some of our choral members who also teach classroom guitar will reply to your post. In TN, guitar classes are usually listed as “general music” classes since they do not fit in the “traditional ensemble” classification that the state continues to use. Perhaps Will Schmid might provide some insight on this topic since he was one of the first pioneers of guitar curriculum for schools. Best of luck on your search!
