In the new CCS for music, what is an ‘anchor standard?’ Aren’t there 11 of them?
According to the brief video NAFME offers here on the website (from the home page, click “My Classroom” then “Standards” for more information), In the new National Coalition for the Core Arts Standards, there are four artistic processes; creating, performing (known also as presenting/performing), responding, and connecting. For each of those artistic processes, there are two or three anchor standards, that are common across all art forms. As you stated, there are eleven all together. For more information on the standards, the video I mentioned can be accessed through this link on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlSF56tkueA
