I am a recent graduate who just received her teaching certificate in December. I am currently looking for work and have come across some education career fairs that I would like to attend. Can anyone give me some advice as to what to expect and how to budget my time so that I can talk to those in a position to hire me for a music teaching position? I have never been to a career fair, particularly one where there are school districts that would be hiring. I have heard that there are long lines and I should get there early. Should I ask to be interviewed for only music, or will they tell me, I kind of don’t know what to do and want to use the time wisely. I plan on bringing several copies of my resume and some business cards…..other than that I am not sure I know how to really network and get the most out of a career fair.
