Access More than 100 Years of Archived Magazine / Journal Content

Your NAfME membership allows to you to read the current volumes of Teaching Music, Music Educators Journal online, as well as all past volumes! 

  1. Log into www.nafme.org using the login instructions above.
  2. In the top navigation, hover over “My Classroom”.
  3. Select “Journals/Magazines”.
  4. Choose the publication you would like to view. Then log in (if you haven’t done so already) using your Member ID number (nine digits, including zeros… example: 000123456) and primary e-mail address.
  5. Click the next page to view the publication you’ve selected. This will take you to our affiliated publisher.
  6. Select a single article, or review the entire publication from cover to cover. It’s your choice.

Interested in researching a new topic? Do you have new responsibilities this fall? There’s a book for that! Review Lesson Plans in My Music Class™

Need some new ideas? My Music Class® is an online idea center and lesson plan library, filled with standards-aligned teaching ideas and resources, exclusively for NAfME members.

  3. Select “Lesson Plans”.
  4. Click on the “My Music Class” link.
  5. Search by one or more keywords (tip: add only a space in the search box to return the largest number of lessons). Targeted search results are available by selecting one or more specific disciplines.

 

Access the NAfME Online “Forum” Discussion Boards

Networking online is a great option for the busy music educator. And NAfME’s Forum discussion boards allow users to share tips and tools with fellow NAfME members 24/7. Below are instructions on how to access the Forums online.
