Application Information

Q: I’m having difficulties submitting my application. Can you help? Try the Acceptd quick tips and help center: https://acceptd.zendesk.com/home

Q: Does the application need to be a digital video, or can an audio file be uploaded? The audition must be a video audition, but it does not need to be a professional recording. Recording your performance from a mobile phone or on a web cam may be sufficient. However, remember that the recording quality should be good enough for a selection committee to adequately evaluate your performance.

Q: Does the application video need to include one of the pieces we intend to perform at the conference? No, but the style of the performance, and the size of student group in your video, should be consistent with your plans for the performance.

Q: What if my piece is over 2 minutes in length? The recommended length is 2 minutes. Slightly over or slightly under 2 minutes is acceptable.

Q: Can I play my audition video with a program like Music Minus One or SmartMusic? Yes!

Q: My file is really large/I can’t upload my video! Support questions should be sent to support@getacceptd.com.  They can help convert the file to a smaller size if needed.

Q: What types of video files can I submit? Acceptd supports a majority of file types in use today including:

Video: MPEG, MPG, MP4, OGG, MOV, AVI, WMV, M4V, VOB, FLV

Travel/Hotel

Q: Where do I make my hotel reservation? We have a special rate for conference attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors of $195 per night.  Reserve your room now!

Q: What is the hotel cancellation policy? Hotel cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night’s room and tax.
