We love our music teachers! Every day you give tirelessly to students in your community and make a difference in their lives. Listen to a special message from NAfME President Mackie Spradley.

Hi, I’m Mackie Spradley, President of the National Association for Music Education. Just think, a year ago, music educators: you were in the classroom. You were teaching and leading during a worldwide pandemic, something we’d never seen before, something we’ve never experienced. Yet, you were able to shift your thinking . . . on a dime. You were able to do great work—exceptional work—in unheard of circumstances.
I just want to take the time to say, “You are appreciated.” Thank you for all that you do—for all that you do for all of us: for your students, for your community. You bring social and emotional well being to all of us.
This is National Teacher Appreciation Week. I just want you to know that not only are you appreciated this week—not only will we set aside this week to say, “thank you.” I want you to know that we thank you, and we appreciate you every single day. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
