Thank you to all NAfME Collegiate Chapter Advisors and members! We appreciate all that you do to promote music education on your campuses and in your communities through service, performance, and recruitment. We’ve seen great evidence of your work in your entries in the Collegiate Chapter of Excellence Awards, the Professional Achievement Awards, and your personal interactions with the NAfME office in Reston. Your hard work will ensure a bright future for coming generations of students and for the profession itself. It has been a pleasure working with you this year, and we look forward to next year!

Collegiate members – You’re Invited to Hill Day, June 28!
NAfME Collegiate members are invited to come to Washington, D.C. to participate in our annual Hill Day advocacy event on June 28. Hill Day is the highlight of the NAfME Advocacy calendar when delegations from every state Music Educators Association come to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressional representatives and advocate for music education! This year, we encourage future music educators to join us as we meet with lawmakers in Washington on June 28. As part of NAfME Hill Day, you will: • Travel to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressional representatives to advocate for the inclusion of music education in the school curriculum • Receive training about your role in advocacy as music educators, and learn how to build support in your state and local community • Network and receive mentorship from NAfME executive leadership; On Saturday, June 29 attendees will enjoy a day of professional development. We hope you will plan to attend! Registration for the event is free for the first 150 members if you stay at the Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner ($129/night). Your registration includes a t-shirt, transportation to/from Capitol Hill, and an evening reception with a live performance by Nashville star, Sarah Darling.
