About the Event

The Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE) welcomes and encourages participation in the symposium from music teacher educators, state and local fine arts supervisors, P-12 educators, state policy officials associated with certification, licensure, and school improvement, deans and directors of the arts, and students in music education (both undergraduate and graduate). This year’s theme, Elevating a Culture of Belonging, focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and justice.
