The Maryland Music Educators Association seeks Session Proposals and Performance Applications for the Annual State Conference during the 2025-2026 academic year. Submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

MMEA 2025-2026 Conferences Call for Proposals

Join us in Baltimore for the 2026 MMEA Annual State Conference, Maryland’s largest gathering of music educators dedicated to elevating teaching, empowering students, and engaging communities through the power of music.

This event brings together educators, administrators, future teachers, and students from every corner of Maryland for three days of in-depth learning, inspiration, collaboration, and performances.

Highlights of this year’s conference include:

  • A conference partnership with TI:ME – Technology in Music Education
  • Innovative sessions in band, orchestra, choral, general music, modern band, technology, equity, and more
  • Performing Ensembles that highlight excellence in student performance and teacher-led instruction
  • Focused programming for collegiate members and early-career educators
  • A dynamic exhibit hall featuring instruments, resources, and classroom innovations
  • Dedicated networking opportunities to build lasting professional relationships
  • The chance to sit in and observe All State rehearsal and concerts featuring approx. 600 of the most talented students in Maryland

Whether you’re an experienced educator, a first-year teacher, a student preparing for the classroom, or a school leader supporting music programs, this conference is your space to grow and thrive.

MMEA offers pricing options for active members, collegiate/student members first-year educators, retired members, and non-members. A special early-bird Double Registration rate is also available for members planning to attend both the Fall In-Service Conference (October) and the Annual State Conference (February).

Conference registration and hotel block details will be available starting in early August. Early-Bird Double Registration closes in early October.
