About the Event

Inquiry-based learning can be a meaningful strategy to build creativity, celebrate curiosity, apply problem-solving skills, and progress towards expressive musicianship. The presenter will provide strategies to deepen musicianship through discussion and dialogue during ensemble rehearsals. Watch your rehearsals come alive as students discuss and debate musical ideas. By asking students to “explain how you came to that conclusion,” student voices can be a powerful asset in the music classroom.
