This webinar presents an approach to guitar instruction for children ages 5–11 that cultivates creativity and early compositional thinking. It integrates theoretical understanding, practical musicianship, and expressive development, offering a substantive alternative to technique centered traditional models.
Oleksiy Bilous is a musician, composer, and guitar educator with extensive experience teaching students across a wide range of ages. He holds a degree in journalism, where his graduate‑level work provided both theoretical and practical foundations in pedagogy. Alongside his academic training, he developed as a guitarist and songwriter in rock and pop genres, gaining substantial hands‑on experience in music creation and performance. For the past three years, Oleksiy has been teaching at Expressions Music Academy in Virginia, where his instructional approach centers on creative development and early compositional skills.
