About the Event

The Maine Music Educators Association conference is a two-day conference that has approximately 300 attendees from across the state of Maine. The participants represent the grade span of PK-college and the conference sessions address the focus areas of band, choir, orchestra, jazz, general music PK-12, DEIA, technology, jazz, and modern band. The conference takes place concurrently with the Maine All-State Music Festival at the University of Maine in Orono, with the closest airport being Bangor International Airport (BGR).

Anyone interested in presenting a session at the conference needs to submit a “Conference Proposal Form” that is located on our website: mainemmea.org/mmea-conference/. The deadline for submitting this form is January 1, 2025. Music industry partners are also encouraged to attend the conference and may submit a “Vendor Application” form also available on our website.
