The NAfME Council for Innovations was created as a space to showcase, advocate for, and help to normalize evolving practices in our field. Our work has focused on technology, emerging ensembles, and inclusive language. After 10 years, we are standing in the wake of a pandemic and significant socio-political movement. With this landscape in mind, what does innovation in music education look like now? What is innovative for you, your students, and communities? Join us for an open conversation on change, how we all are navigating it, and what the Innovations Council can do to provide support.

Home for innovative ideas in all areas of music education—including emerging ensembles, world and popular music, and digital media—the NAfME Council for Innovations seeks to identify, promote, and expand innovative pathways and practices and processes in music education by transforming both curricula and pedagogy to ensure that all students receive a high-quality music education.

For complete information about the presenters, please see the NAfME Council for Innovations page.
