Presenter: Don Nguyen

Running ensembles and teaching general music both require excellent organizational skills. In this session, you will learn how you can use spreadsheets to efficiently track attendance, inventory instruments and your music library, send mass personalized communication to parents, quickly see how many students are in each section, manage your ensemble’s budget, produce personalized documents for students, quickly prepare names for your concert program, and much more.

Don NguyenDon Nguyen teaches 5th and 6th grade general music and directs the 5th grade band and 5th-12th grade percussion ensemble at Upper Merion Area Middle School in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education and his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 2021 and his Graduate Certificate in ESL Teaching in 2022 from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is certified to teach Music K-12, Spanish K-12, and ESL K-12 and is now completing his Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
