Wyoming State Music Education Conference 2026

Engaging professional development conference for educators and collegiate music education students featuring 7 strands of conference sessions. Hosted in Cody, Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park on January 18-20, 2026. Headliner presenters include our band headliner and Keynote Speaker Dr. Frank Tracz from Kansas State University, choral headliner Dr. Brandon Boyd from the University of Missouri, strings headliner Dr. Charles Laux from “The Orchestra Teacher” Podcast, elementary headliner David Row, and our jazz headliner from Weber State University, Dr. Daniel Jonas.

The conference also includes an opening night concert with performances by the Laramie High School Choirs and the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Michael Griffith. The culmination of the conference is the Wyoming All-State Honor Ensembles including the All-State Band conducted by Dr. Jonathan Hinkle from Colorado Mesa University, the All-State Choir conducted by Dr. Jeffery Redding from the University of Central Florida, and the All-State Orchestra conducted by John Varineau.
