This week, the Washington Post featured an article on First Lady Michelle Obama’s recent first steps into education advocacy.
On Tuesday, November 12th, Mrs. Obama delivered remarks at Washington DC’s Bell Multicultural High School; her appearance marked the beginning of a new campaign to promote high school graduation rates and enrollment in post-secondary education or vocational training programs. The campaign is a marked shift from Mrs. Obama’s previous focus on healthy eating and exercise for kids, and supporting military families.
