Ann Medellin has 36 years of experience in public school work, including 4 years in Dallas, Texas, and 32 years with Vancouver Public Schools. She has served as the K-12 Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum Coordinator and Dean at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. Currently, she teaches string orchestra at two middle schools.

Ann has received numerous district, regional, and statewide awards for her work as a director of orchestras, leader, and advocate. She is known for her creative networking with artists and professionals in the Northwest, supporting various projects for students and teachers, and addressing professional development to elevate student learning.

Ann has been involved in planning new schools, developing secondary music curricula for CTE credit, supporting regional youth orchestras, contributing to Vancouver Public Schools being named Best Communities for Music Education, and continuing to perform.
