I’ve been blessed to have taught instrumental music to grades 4 – B. Mus. students for 31 years in my home state of CT before retiring to pursue my passion for composing full-time.

Fortunately, it was a successful career change because I still get to work with string orchestras, concert, marching and jazz bands in various parts of the globe that are performing any of my 70+ published pieces to date. I am forever grateful for the support from my eleven publishers (Grand Mesa, Barnhouse, C. Alan Publications, Excelcia, Wingert Jones, Kendor, Carl Fischer, Print Music Source, RWS Music, TUX People’s Music and GPG Music) and their promotion of my music, which has led to these wonderful opportunities. I will continue to offer a free rehearsal clinic, in person or virtually, for as long as I can with any ensemble that performs one of my compositions/arrangements and look forward to writing future commissions!

I will always be a lifelong learner and encourage all music teachers to do the same. Even though I’ve been officially retired from teaching full time for 10 years, I still faithfully attend sessions at the Midwest Band & Orch. Clinic, NAfME Eastern Division and CMEA conferences, as well as read music journals to improve my skills and knowledge.
