Brett Noser, grew up in Minnesota, has been playing viola since 1995. Brett has been teaching in Lincoln Public Schools since 2008, served as the Associate Director of Lincoln Civic Orchestra (LCO) from 2013 to 2022, and has played viola in LCO from 2008 to 2018. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and his Masters in Music Education from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. During the Summers of 2017 and 2018 he participated in the National Mariachi Workshop for Educators completing both the beginning and intermediate level courses.
In 2008 he began teaching orchestra in Lincoln Public Schools and has taught 4th-12th grade students. Brett is currently the Music Department Chair at Lincoln High School and teaches Varsity and Prep Orchestra, IB Music, and Mariachi. He is the director of Los Mariachis de la Ciudad Estrella and has been since 2018. He has also taught Class Piano, and Music Tech. He taught 5th-12th grade orchestra in Beatrice from 2012-2014. Mr. Noser is currently a member of the Nebraska Music Educators Association, part of NAfME, and a member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA). Brett served on the Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music Board where he created educational material for area schools as outreach with performing ensembles. Brett was the co-worship leader at Crossbridge Christian Church in Lincoln, Nebraska from 2019 to 2025. He lives in Lincoln with his wife, Holly, his daughter Calysta, and their dog Torcon.
