Cat Woo teaches music education courses at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Cat has a Bachelors in Music Education degree from New Mexico State University, a Masters in Music from the University of New Mexico, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Cat is certified in Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly, World Music Drumming, First Steps in Music, and Conversational Solfege. Cat has studied at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria, and is a Teacher Educator for the American Orff Schulwerk Association. She has served as the General Music Vice-President of the New Mexico Music Educators Association and is currently the NMMEA District VII President. She was a member of the Connected Arts Network through the National Association for Music Education from 2023 to 2025. Cat is an Apple Certified Teacher, a Nearpod Certified Teacher, and a Google for Education Certified Trainer. In addition to teaching, Cat is a bass clarinetist in the Southwest and an active international presenter and clinician for elementary music education and technology.
