Edward Doyle is the Director of Fine Arts for the Manchester School District in New Hampshire. He previously taught at every grade level within the district, spending 15 years at Manchester Central High School where he served as band director, associate band director, and jazz band director. In addition to leading ensembles, he taught a wide range of music courses, including music appreciation, beginning guitar, beginning piano, and advanced music theory.

Ed served four terms as the New Hampshire All-State Festival Chair and was President of the New Hampshire Music Educators’ Association from 2021 to 2023. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts (2002) and a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan (2009).

Ed is an active performer in both jazz and classical settings, appearing regularly as a freelance trombonist and with the Freese Brothers Big Band. His dedication to arts advocacy also includes serving as past-chairman of the Manchester Arts Commission. In 2015, he was recognized by the New Hampshire Union Leader as a “40 Under Forty” honoree for his contributions to the arts and education.

During a sabbatical year in 2017–18, Edward participated in the New Hampshire Leadership Learning Exchange for Equity and completed the Executive Program in Arts & Culture Strategy through National Arts Strategies in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, further enriching his leadership and strategic planning skills in arts education.
