Dr. Elizabeth Schultz is an Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Florida where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music education, supervises music student teachers and graduate research, and teaches courses and advises capstone projects in the online Master of Music Education degree program. She has previously taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Cleveland State University, Shenandoah University Conservatory of Music, and as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida.

She earned her Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Florida with a cognate in special education, MM in Clarinet Performance from Louisiana State University, M.A.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, and BA in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from Virginia Tech. Dr. Schultz previously taught elementary band and orchestra in Arlington, Virginia.

Dr. Schultz currently serves as a Society for Music Teacher Education co-facilitator for the Music Teacher Educators: Recruitment, Preparation, and Professional Development Areas for Strategic Planning and Action (ASPA). Her research interests include itinerant music teaching, effectively integrating students with disabilities into music classrooms, connecting music education research to practicing music educators, and supporting music teacher educators throughout their careers. She has presented at state, national, and international conferences and her publications can be found in the Journal of Music Teacher Education, F-flat Books,  and GIA Publications.
