Dr. Evan Lee is in his 31st year in Music Education and in his third year at Grand Island Public Schools serving as Curriculum Coordinator of Fine Arts and Social Studies. Prior to his service at Grand Island Public Schools he served as Director of Bands at Omaha Central High School and Norris Public Schools in Nebraska.

Dr. Lee holds both Masters (2000) and Doctorate (2007) degrees from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and Bachelor in Fine Arts degree (1989) from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.

Dr. Lee recently completed the President cycle for the Nebraska Music Education Association (NMEA). He has also served as a regional chairperson for the NAfME Guitar Council and as NMEA Auditions Chair. He is an active member of The National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Nebraska Music Education Association (NMEA), and the Nebraska Bandmasters Association (NSBA).

In his spare time Dr. Lee arranges music and writes marching drill for local high schools. He also is an active musician, playing in several area and regional groups.
