Katie O. Anderson

Dr. Katie O. Anderson has dedicated her career to advancing arts education in Georgia, where she has served as both an elementary music teacher and Fine Arts Coordinator for the Paulding County School District. Prior to her work in Georgia, she spent seven years in Tennessee as an elementary music educator, building a strong foundation in classroom instruction and student-centered learning.

In her role as an arts administrator, Dr. Anderson is committed to ensuring that every student has equitable access to high-quality arts instruction in music, theatre, and visual arts. She leads initiatives that strengthen community partnerships, support teachers, and develop curriculum and assessment systems that foster meaningful student engagement. Her work is centered on creating sustainable pathways for student success and preparing learners for continued growth within Georgia’s vibrant arts landscape.

Dr. Anderson serves numerous boards and committees at the community, state, and national levels. She is passionate about childhood literacy and, in addition to her extensive arts collaborations, serves as chair of her regional library board, where she advocates for literacy and equitable access to learning resources for all.

Dr. Anderson holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education, an Education Specialist degree, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. She has been recognized for excellence in education as a two-time Teacher of the Year, Employee of the Year as the arts administrator in her district, and as Distinguished Educator of the Year.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Anderson enjoys entertaining, creating, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She is the wife of Daniel, mother of Rebekah and Andrew, and proud grandmother of Audry and Esther.
