Mackenzie McKeithan Jensen

Dr. Mackenzie McKeithan Jensen, from South Dakota, is the current 5-12 Instrumental Director and Activities Director for Lyman School District. She pursued her B.A. in K-12 Instrumental Music Education from Augustana University, received her Master of Music Education degree from Northern State University, and earned her Ph.D. in Music Education through the University of Kansas. She currently serves as the South Dakota Music Education Association’s Tri-M Chairperson and Webmaster and works with the South Dakota Bandmasters Association as their Webmaster. Dr. McKeithan Jensen was the advisor of the 2022-2023 Senior Chapter of the Year, and has been working to increase South Dakota’s Honor Societies’ numbers through education of the process and benefits of an Honor Society chapter.
